drained and filled up with e85, everything is exactly the same, all i did was add 30% more fuel to the fuel map and burned a new chip. i have a walbro fuel pump besides that and the injectors everything is stock, i have read conflicting things about the fuel components in that the ethanol will damage them and on the other hand the damage is small or none or will take so long to have an effect its not worth worrying about most cars are designed to run 10% ethanol so... i dont know, time will tell...SilverStreak;120233 wrote:So did you have to upgrade any of the fuel lines or did you just drain and fill the tank with E85 and run it with the stock fuel setup (minus injectors of course)?

yup, it doesnt have a very good return, but then again you can make it out of switch grass and even garbage...Potts1;120244 wrote:To produce E85 is more of a pain than most people think. I was reading an article about it in Time and it you would have to grow enough corn to feed one person for an entire year to fill one tank of an suv. it didnt say how big but I would imagine around 20 gallons.

I ran about 6 gallons of E85 and 4 gallons of regular fuel in the civic a while back and it seemed to run just fine for the whole tank of fuel.

its a good track fuel, but aboslutely useless for DDs. The additional food cost due to using corn also blows ass, we need to get with the time and use sugar grass for e85 instead
