(240=rwd) > civic/integra
I wish I had gotten into 240s before hondas. If you have any power, you will pretty much lose your 1st gear, 2nd gear, some or all of 3rd gear, to spinning your tires. It would be nice to hook and not have to run a et street tire all the time. I know they make some decent tires out there to grip....but in the end you are just fighting weight transfer that is not going to ever be in your favor.
In my opinion hondas are cheaper/easier to make quick. From the many vendors to buy things from to FREE engine management....you can't beat a honda from a budget perspective.
If I had my choice...I would keep my civic, and swap a 1jz / v8 in my 240.
**my opinion is based on going (or trying to go) fast.

Advice! Keep Integra or S13

Over the winter, some of you may have seen me fail at realizing how much money it takes to turbocharge a car including tune, engine management, etc. I sold off my parts and saved up for some wheels instead. 15" Konig Heliums with Azenis (80% tread left) with Skunk2 lugs for $525 shipped. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
Now that it's warming up, and the windows are down and sunroof is back, I'm still left itching for a little more power than my GSR is putting out. I've been glued to the Official 240SX thread on H-T and have become fond of the S13 coupes with Silvia fronts. If I could find a SR20 S13, even without the Silvia front, for cheaper than I sell my Integra for, I could have a little left over for mods/bank. I'd also have a fun car with RWD and turbo. With a few mods on top of the SR, I could put down some good numbers for a lot less than the >2K I was going to spend on piecing a turbo kit together for the GSR.
My problem is that I love the car! It's rare being ABP (adriatic blue pearl), sedan, GSR, and a 98 all in one. I made an Official ABP thread on H-T and only had two other ABP sedan Integras post. You cannot beat the reliabilty of these, the gas mileage is unbelievable, especially with prices lately, and I am a Honda fan at heart. I am extremely jealous of UMRacer, who has the internship with Honda of Ohio. Put simply, I'm in love with not only the car, but also Honda in general.
So, STLHondas, help me out! What should I do? Anyone ever own both and have an opinion? I know that here I'll get an obvious bias towards Hondas, which is why I posted a thread over on DriftSTL, too.
Thanks for your help!
want to be in rwd lunch trays and e-brake baby....o and fwd can be fun as. well i had a rwd car for a while and i kind of miss it.. however you arent thinking of the potential the gsr has. just because u couldn't go turbo doesn't mean that u cant go n/a and still make power. just a thought a 240s are SICK wanted one for years but finding one in good condition and running is the hard part.
You can talk shit all you want! eventually noone will care about your input. :yo:

SR20DET. The KA24 is NOT a performance motor, its a torquey little motor with a long stroke, which is great for small trucks and stuff, but its NOT any form of a performance motor at all.big pipe;107038 wrote:(big pipe opens a can of worm's)
stay KA and add a turbo, or swap in a SR20det?
Like comparing the LS7 to the 350 V8 you find in an astro van.
