One thing we may want to consider as a club is a tech / install day
I'd be fun to show people for example, how to do their brakes ... that's an easy job, and would save some nice coin
Or install an air intake, exhaust, etc
Those who are in need of brake work can sign up in advance, and the "know how" circulate around and help them help themselves
Any interest or the club has done this b4?

I did this a lot when I lived back home. These days are actually a lot of fun, and a great way to get to know people.
Finds it funny you (all) check my profile multiple times a day. Get a life.

Wait, you're one of those people that actually MOVED to St Louis from somewhere else? I've heard about it, but never met anyone of your type beforeSlowOne.5;81811 wrote:I did this a lot when I lived back home. These days are actually a lot of fun, and a great way to get to know people.
just kiddin' but since you have experience with install days, I believe you just volunteer'd to help, correct?
Whoa ... did I mention I bake brownies too? This would be huge ... able to volunteer use of your facility? Is there also enough pavement to have a couple other cars up on jackstands? What general area do you live and is it a match for the club's geograhics? Why is the sky blue06sik20z3;81812 wrote:in the spring time i should have a lift in my garage/barn/shop and we can hold install days at my house
It is the best, safest and most enjoyable way to learn ... the idea is to have the know how and any specialized tools available for a bunch of people to make use of00civicEX;81817 wrote:good idea... cause i am not the sort to wrench on somethin if i havent done it before... but if i have done it once i can pretty much do it again.... so watchin people do stuff like that is a big help to me...
So ... 3 "yes's" above make a bonafide event
If we have a place, then just need to pick a date and solicit for some "wrenchie types" to assist those attending

I stated that only b/c I've yet to see an event like this take place in the 3, almost 4 years of living here now. :shrugs:GTI-Guy;81818 wrote:Wait, you're one of those people that actually MOVED to St Louis from somewhere else? I've heard about it, but never met anyone of your type before

I guess I volunteered myself. My schedule is a little hectic and odd, but if I find time, I have parts needing to be put on myself...so why not?

there are no girls on the internet, the ones you may have seen are either A ) figments of your imagination, B ) guys that act like girls, or C ) a massive spreading computer virus out to kill us all

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

I'm sure we can behave appropriately and not tear up your new house, as well as take action with anyone that doesn't want to be responsible. Location & resources (esp a lift) are critical ... help me out with the location part ... Cuddlyville is located where & how far?06sik20z3;81819 wrote:um yeah i got some room i should have pics of my new house in a couple days its in cottleville. as long as respects me and my house i have no problem holding multiple get togethers
