If its an LS1 475whp MAX without valvespring upgrades and fuel upgrades... And thats at 8-9lbs.
Your wrong. Im putting close to that na on my set up and its a ls1. With a sts rear mount they put a hair over 500 on 10psi stock motor.

Stock valvesprings will not hold 10psi. Stock fuel pump will not support over 475whp even with a hotwire kit. And close to 500whp on an ls1? Not without a very healthy cam set of heads and a good intake manifold. And I'm talking at least afr 205's a cam in the 230+ duration range (.600+) lift and a fast intake manifold (at least a fast 90).

Want to try again?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
Hope this helps

The ls6 manifolds flow ok. Not pretty well. The fast(90 102's) and Bbk flow better. but there's a difference between 425whp and 500whp. I'm betting if you have any of those mods done your closer to 425-440. If your on bone stock heads then I'm betting closer to 360-380whp. And even 450whp is nothing to brag about especially with a ls1.

Anyway back on topic. I'm sure this build is a fun one. Though obviously not everyone's cup of tea. But if you have another car with more potential ( your vette) then i understand this build more.

All i was getting to was if you can only get 180-190 out of any boosted motor is a waste of money in my opinion. You can buy stock cars with more than that.

So we should all go out and buy veyrons and not mod our cars? That's pretty much what you're saying here is that it's pointless to mod a car if you can just go out and buy one with more power that's stock. People build turbo d's because you can do it for almost nothing. You could build an almost 200whp d series for less than $1,000. You couldnt even swap a gsr into a civic for that much.

Tell you what when spring comes (that's when I'm getting my car out of storage) I will run your ls1 and we will see how close to 500whp you are

As per the rest of this I think since the op has other cars that an na build on a car could be fun obviously it cost more to make less HP na wise. But if its just for a fun dd I can understand that. Though at 12.5:1 its going to be a minimum of 93 octane and that can sometimes suck. And qt 93 octane is garbage.

Wrong again. I had way less than a grand in my swap. Just got to shop for the deals. No you dont have to go buy a super car. Can go buy a new si and get looks and more than a turbo d stock.
