They don't look that rough in person. Like Chris said, the paint was put on with a brush. It looked horrible with just paint. Once the clearcoat was added, it looks damn close to a caliper that was painted from the factory. There is a little bit of orange peel and thats why they look bad in the pic. The caliper is shiny and it is reflecting everything. Thats why they look rough. I honestly think we should have put about 2 more coats of clear on it. I thought it ended up really good coming from a $20 kit from the auto parts store.

hrm, must be the pics, i did mine with a brush and red caliper paint and when it dried it looked ok. either that or it's the color maybe the black makes it show more when you brush it. i used some acid to clean off my calipers first, that stuff will f*ck you up lol.
either way they look good.

yea we used the cleaner in the box as well as some brake cleaner... there were fumes a plenty LOL

bpu is downpipe, exhaust, boost control, intake
bpu+ is cam gears, intercooler, ect
bpu++ is fuel control
apu is upgraded fuel, bigger turbos/turbo

though everyones definition is different

some people add a + for each mod so a bpu car with cam gears, intercooler, and fuel control would be bpu+++
