What car/combination should I do?

Get a vette. You asked for opinions we gave ours and in every reply you argued you still wanted a vette. Sounds like you already made the choice and you don't need our help or want our opinions.

Not trying to sound like a dick just saying

yeah after debating with myself and a few people telling me to go for it im thinking vette. but i'd like to see which car as a project ppl vote most for, and i'll consider that after awhile.

everyone was helpful, despite some being mean ;)

Why would you rely on one to by your DD? I DD'd mine for over a year before I just couldn't take it anymore and had to buy a real DD though, climbing in and out of it got old really fast, and so did sitting in traffic in it. Now, it just sits in the garage and hardly moves though.

It's been very reliable, but I will say that when shit breaks on them, it can get really expensive in a hurry, especially when there are parts that only the dealer sells.
sirricealot;278059 wrote: If i get a vette, I plan to keep it for a long time, the only thing i'd really do to it would be flowmaster muffler system, HID's, and window tint.
I dont plan to do any major things to the car, hence not being a project.
Converting the car to HID's can be a major pain in the ass. Putting a good set of bulbs in it works much, much better.

And for the love of god, don't put flowmaster on it. If you're going to do exhaust, go with either Corsa, GHL, LG, Borla or Bassani. Yes, they're all expensive, but they're made out of very high quality material and sound the best. Best sounding exhaust on a C5 is the GHL, then the Corsa stuff.

Any questions you have about these cars, I'd be more than happy to answer; and if I don't know the answer, I can direct to the people/places that will.

Yeah thats why I've been contemplating getting a DD before winter hits next year. I know parts can be expensive sometimes but thats why i am choosing to get an extended warranty from my credit union when I get the car.
I drive 3 miles to work so I'm not worried about it lol.
I am pretty much decided on what I'm gonna do now.

I just loved how the flowmasters were on my monte. plus i found the set of mufflers for 599. Not looking to break the bank though.
As for HID's, if it really is that big of a pain then I'll invest into some really good bulbs.
From now on I'm going WHITES instead of my Daylight with blue tint.

From what I read the stock titanium exhaust of the z06 is said to be better than most aftermarket ones. If prob rock it stock then lol. Tint and sound system a must. Ever hear on the vette forums about ppl using the lowering bolts?

Sounds legit! Get your dream car while you can then! You may not have that option down the road.

The stock Ti exhaust is one of the better options, but it still is restrictive if you increase the airflow because it's only a 2.5in tube. It does sound good though and is well worth keeping.

Yeah, lowering it is one of the easiest things you can do, as the stock bolts in it allow you to drop it a good amount. Both mine and my dads are lowered almost all the way on the stock ones and the ride didn't suffer at all. You can take the rubber bushing out and cut it in half to really slam it, or buy an aftermarket kit as well, but then you won't really be able to go many places with it cause it'll be way to low.
