Or you could be like me, a broke ass, who rattle canned they're car becuase they are sick of being judged by people for driving a multicolored shitbox. Rattle can paint looks good when you, prep correctly, wetsand, and use even light coats. Keep in mind it's a cheap solution for people on a tight budget.

My car has rust I'll never fix so a real paint won't go on this car during my owning of it.

a can of krylon is 2.83 a can X 12 cans = 33.96 (no tax) a cpl rolls of tape i pirated from work and a cpl packs of sandpaper = under 50.00 in materials to paint a whole car.... not even close to the 150-200 you stated JUST for the paint. That dosnt include a compressor, paint gun, booth and all the stuff you really need to paint a car correctly.

My paint is nowhere near real paint quality BUT it's wet sanded so easy to dry and touch up. Trust me id like to have real paint on both of them again , but im more worried about driving them then anything... and besides the 240 is a drift bucket... i dont want to have to worry about scratching the paint when im inches away from a wall or other car

I had a really nice custom paint job complete with perl flake and all. in the end some vandals ruined that and I ended up with a flat black CRX. I will say taking care of a flat car is alot easier. I now have the equipment to lay down a halfway descent paint job and i will be giving it a try myself. The costs should lay out something like this(not including sprayer):

$100 single stage paint with hardener and reducer
$25 particulate Mask(reusable)
$50 masking supplies
$50 sanding disks and sand paper for the orbital
$10 Cleaning supplies to keep my gun nice and clean :)
$75 bondo, misc sheet metal, welding gas, and welding wire
$20 grinding pads
$200 extra set aside for whatever I forgot because projects like this never end up costing what you plan.

Lets hope....
