the tC uses a 2az-fe - the same motor from the 4cyl camry.

and +100whp from a turbo running 7psi is pretty decent. How much do you expect? The cobalt SS s/c is running 12psi from the factory and only making 205whp.

I'm making 240whp, 270tq on 7psi. Most boosted civics take 9-10psi to make that much horsepower....and like 30psi to make that much torque.
true,, i was thinking more along the lines of power to weight ratio.. i figured your car weighs a ton..

almost 1 and a half tons to be exact lol

2950lbs. Not the heaviest - definitely not the lightest, but it'll get up and go,that's for sure.

it doesn't help that I have a glass roof. Someone was supposedly developing a Carbon fiber replacement panel for the tC roof. Remove the 200+lbs of glass and sunroof and replace it with a 50lb piece of carbon fiber. Sounds like a mod worth investigating to me.

no offense but if your going to make a comparison you should really do it correctly.

your statement is incorrect, a h22 (less displacement then your motor) will make more HP then your motor at the same psi but will make less TQ correct (Honda motors lack TQ no argument there)

your statement was directed at more of the smaller displacement motors which will make still more HP for less displacement then your motor running the same psi.

you're right, n2hifi - but I wasn't comparing my car to civics in the way you probably think.

I was responding to the comment that 100hp from F/I was less than expected...100whp from 7psi of boost is a fairly decent number...especially on an untuned setup with stock exhaust, etc...I was saying that if you boost a civic, it take more boost to get close, and you're still shy on torque...I was replying to his comment because he's a honda owner who expected more power from F/I...well Hondas don't make that much power on F/I, so I didn't understand why he was so dissapointed with the +100whp. That's all - I wasn't comparing my car to civics to say that mine is better or more powerful, just kinda putting his comment into perspective for him, I guess.

And while a boosted H22 will make more power than me on the same boost, boosting an H22 on 7psi doesn't add 100whp. Boosting a tC on 7psi does. The end result may be higher, but the net gain from boost is higher, you know?

hell yeah - I like pork steaks! whats done to the sentra? I saw your dyno vid where you like amped up the nitrous shot and pulled in like 320whp...you were chanting the whole time "dont blow up, don't blow up." lol - at least I assumed that was you. that was back when douchebag Rozz was being his usual self and acting like he owns the whole fucking place and you guys were arguing about whether or not you were going to race the other turbo tC. I'm not like Rozz - I don't talk shit because I have a turbo. I don't talk shit period unless you're just an asshole. lol

I'd run you just because I love racing - I don't really give a shit if I win. lol
