Glad to see you aren't giving her up yet.
“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

It might be an 02 not sure I'll have to ask next time I see here at thanks giving.99BlackHatch;276716 wrote:What year... I'm looking for an '02-'04 RL since they gave it a slightly more peppy engine and upgraded all the suspension and bushings on the car. And I like the AMBER-LESS tail lights. Like they did on the 99-00 Civic tail lights.

It's all back together thanks to Rob goign to the junk yard, picking up the 2 front knuckles along with the upper and lower control arms and all good ball joints. Parts were swapped on and the car is drivable again!
Been daily driving it again ever since. It might need a new engine though unless I can find where my oil leak is coming from. Luckily Jen / HelloKitty has a spare 3.5 in her garage so i might be picking that up soon as well and swapping it in.
Getting a new car isn't an option considering getting the home loan was priority.

well idk much about the j-series. have you looked @ oil pressure sending unit they leak sometimes, or is this a huge leak. i still have friends that work @ valvoline if you want someone to get under it. lmk i wouldn't mind helping somebody out if it means they get to keep there car longer.99BlackHatch;278891 wrote:It's all back together thanks to Rob goign to the junk yard, picking up the 2 front knuckles along with the upper and lower control arms and all good ball joints. It's actually a C-Series. The entire engine, transmission and the bottom of the car is covered in oil. It'll have to be completely cleaned first. Then he needs to use something like Met-L-Chek to find the leaks. But considering the mileage on the engine and the other issues with the car, it'll be easier just to put an engine that's been better maintained in and take care of the rest of the car's problems at the same time.kra95civic;278967 wrote:well idk much about the j-series. have you looked @ oil pressure sending unit they leak sometimes, or is this a huge leak. i still have friends that work @ valvoline if you want someone to get under it. lmk i wouldn't mind helping somebody out if it means they get to keep there car longer.

noted. c-series isnt that shared with the nsx? so i know shit about j-series & even less about the c-series. it was just a thought. it seams finding out were the leak is would be cheaper then a new motor even @ 262k miles it still has some life in it.JustRob;278974 wrote:It's actually a C-Series.
