Do you have a facebook at all? well arent the air intakes slightly below the hood? yeah it is a bad time of year to try and sell it, but I planned on gettin something closer to my bday anyways. haha gives me an excuse plus i'll have over 6 months on the new job.
my cobalt hydroplanes in puddles bc its lower and has very little room between fender well and tires now.
It's hard to describe it really, but it's the way the whole area is angled to get air to the intake. It'll make more sense if I could show you at some point.

How does this effect hydroplaning? I very well could be wrong, but the gap between your fender well and tires, shouldn't effect the way the bottom of your tire skims (or does not skim) over a puddle.

I'm gonna get an extended warranty thru my bank when i get one.
Please tell me that you're fucking joking about the hydroplaning because of fender gap..

LOL, thats a new one.

Fender gap has nothing to do with hydroplaning. Think of it like skipping a rock, the rock at the correct speed and angle will slide across the water and not just sink. Also the wider the tire and less tread depth will make you hydroplane more.

I figured the rush of water between the wheel and fender would effect it

How come you are only interested in Chevy? I mean it's cool if that's where your loyalty lies or just you like em more than other brands, but just curious. There's some other decent comparable options out there if you're looking for domestic RWD V8. In terms of performance the new Mustang 5.0 GT seems to be getting better reviews than it's Dodge and Chevy competition with an even lower price point IIRC.

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

I've always wanted a Corvette but decided on Camaro as a backup plan. I love chevy but mostly I wanna get a RWD V8 toy, I dislike Mustangs quite a bit. Also for me insurance is cheap on a vette versus a stang, i've done quotes. My insurance co works weird lol.

I'm not planning to spend 30k on a car either.
