HID kit

Post by RyanA »

I'm with Chris on this one. Take everything and switch it side to side. If the problem does not change sides, the issue is with the wiring in the car. The ballasts are pretty sensitive to voltage; low voltage will shut them down. If you have replaced everything and the problem exists, I'm saying you are having a low voltage issue. I have 55w kit on my Cadillac and the driver side sometimes takes a couple times to finally get going. Driver side is the end of the wiring harness; the little amount of voltage drop is enough to shut the ballast off.

I think once you swap components side to side you'll find out that DDM did pretty well by swapping parts for you. Maybe not but I think you'll find this is your problem. AS Chris said, a relay with power going directly to the battery for power feed to ballasts along with a good ground should fix your problem.

The only thing I havent swapped sides is where the harness plugs into the factory headlight plug and I cant because that side is where the battery is.

Is this what you guys are talking about?

Edit, I read the description on it and it said its not necessary for a high/low kit, the bulbs I have are high/low ones and I dont have the 55w kit, I bought the 35w kit.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

I checked out v-led and their kit looks stupid easy to setup. I like how each side connects to the factory headlight outlet rather than only connecting to one side and dealing with power and ground cables.

It's funny to see people get what they pay for and end up with HID's that don't work and poor customer service.

At least with companies like the one I posted, you know who they are and that they'll stand behind their product.

I'm not saying that people don't get away with spending that little and have no issues. However, I'm not really a gambling man.

Yeah you dont HAVE TO have the bixenon kit.
The 35 watt kit is the way to go but, I would suggest getting the slim kit anyways.

Are they out or just not carrying them at all? Because a lot of times, they run out quickly.

I emailed them asking about the difference between the cheaper and expensive kit and they said they replied saying they no longer carry HID kits, which kinda sucks because they looked stupid easy to install

Just try ddm again. go with the slim kit, not bulky metal raptor.
its possible you were getting some kind of interference with the raptors
