my previous statement still holds. when you go down there, you're not asking for anything but a death wish.

Yes they are. By now, people know what happens down there. You're an idiot if you continue to hang out there because you're just for trouble. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for these people.

And it's not that I'm against street racing or anything. But I'm not going to hang out with 'tards in a bad part of town on one of the worst roads in the area. There's a time an place for street racing. Sunday night on Hall Street is not it.

whats funny is aparently the eclipse was racing a 4x4 truck. the news said she was hit by both vehicles. curious how she gets hit by 2 vehicles side by side? and also heard they got the guy in the truck but not the eclipse.

either way ive been down there one time. i dint run my car i watched one race and left. there is no way im going back. these ignorant kids are helplessly lost in a fast and the furious world.

They have charged the driver of the truck. The driver of the Eclipse has been arrested, but not yet charged.

Sammie Boldwyn, 17, the Hazelwood teen acting as the "flag girl" to start the race, was hit by a grey Mitsubishi Eclipse, then was run over by Pinckard's truck. Boldwyn is in critical condition at St. Louis University Hospital; court documents say Boldwyn's injuries include brain swelling and broken ribs.

then that's the path she chose. no one held a gun to her head and forced her to do it. she had a choice just like everyone else does. she chose this one. it doesn't matter if she's 17 or 50, she knew the risks of partaking in illegal events just like ANYONE on this site does. again, i have no sympathy. i'm sure you've heard the saying, 'play with fire and you're gonna get burned.' had that been me in her position, i wouldn't expect anyone on here to give a shit. plain and simple.

If you purposely went to a shooting range and rather than just stay behind the shooters, you decided to 'get into the action' and walk in front of the targets, if you got hit, would anyone care? Should anyone care?

She had the choice that night of any one of many options. She could have stayed home. She could have gone to Steak N Shake with friends. She could have gone to a friend's house. She chose wrong.

I mean it sucks for her friends and family to have to go through this because of her poor choice that night... but look on the bright side - maybe, just maybe, other kids who were thinking of doing the same thing will take a second look at the risk and choose to do something else.

Yeah... probably not. Kids are dumb these days.
