I don't get how I missed this all the way until today. How much did it end up costing?

I wish i had know about this. i would have skipped starved rock for it definitely.

I still had a reasonably good time this weekend though.

Oh yeah, that car was hooked up. If anyone wants to know what to do to make their Civic track capable, Clay is Law, LOL! You all need to hang out more with him as he's seriously got his act together as a builder, racer, and at risk of sounding my age, a young man.

Some pics from the weekend ... what great weather, great fun, but sadly, the end of the track season. Save your holiday $ if interested, next event will be in April '10

Just your usual GT-R

The original e30 M3 - This one was in museum quality condition, kudos to the guy for driving it on track. The car behind it has the loud stripes on it 'cause it's an on track car with time lapse cameras that take pictures of ya.

A U.S. Civic-R ... as mentioned, the car was AWESOME. Totally balanced ... no understeer, no oversteer, just tons of grip and 200 hp at the wheel in a very lightweight wrapper.

I'm the shorter bald guy ;-) Clay was the fastest learning student I ever had the pleasure of working with. Thanks to this car and talent, we bumped him from group 4 to group 2 where we played with the big boys driving Cayman's and M3's. I was smiling to myself thinking of the comments made in the paddock as to "who's the "f-er in that Honda?!" You shall never be underestimated again!
Image

Not something you see every day ... this critter was waiting for the driver after lifting the hood ... hello! I had no idea possums weren't just kuddly and all ... thing was a little bad ass hissing and baring his very sharp looking meat eater fangs
