Hey jvolsch before you start makig up random reasons why how about you come to my house and watch overand see how i get money. My parents never pay for any of my stuff.NEVERRR.They have never paid any cell phone bills,Has not paid for any gas money, never have paid for any of my cars.Nothing.I have got quite a bit of money from turning over a few cars, parting the prelude, and etc.The only thing i was offered was the 1997 acura cl and i said i didnt wanna drive it. If you need any more proof of how i got my stuff ask friends or blake.Jesus i mean how many people gottta act like they know something.

Id rather not retrofit.Ill just stick with putting hid's in. I prob cant order for another two weeks. I have enough money to finish my audio setup. which was the alpine 9884,Alpine 4x6 type s front,6x9 Type S rear, amp still havnt looked into or bought, The subs are gonna be Type E's once i find a good box and deal.

Do you have any idea how many cars come stock with hids that arent projectors??? Mine for example. Don't be stupid.

I have a MUCH better light output that a halogen bulb. I realize projectors have a better output and cutoff, but a hid in a standard housing will still me MUCH brighter than a silverstar bulb.

If it were a project car or something I would agree with you, but for god sakes its a pontiac grand am daily driver. He wants brighter headlights, but doesnt want to spend a fortune. A plug and play HID kit will do exactly what he wants it to..

Agree'd and thanks. Now i just gotta get bulbs with a decent wattage for the foglights because i heard they burn the housings.

I'm like Tommy... I have HID's in my standard housing civic headlights. I had the Silverstar Ultras or whatever the top of the line ones are. I had them in and it was much better than the normal SilverStars, but then I put the HIDs in, and you know what... I can see much better!

Ps. I don't blind anyone either.

Acura made those headlight housings (or used bulbs) for a HID setup. Almost any headlight made for halogen style lights will project a bit of glare. If you do use a hid setup in a non hid light, get bulbs that either have block off paint....or look at a shield setup.

Cut off with a factory hid setup > cutoff with conventional+hid setup.....by miles.

And you could have found a wealth of information on the internet about this.

They have never paid any cell phone bills, have not given me any gas money, and never paid for any of my cars (Even though your mom was financially willing to take a hit on your civic SI and have it repo'd), Nothing.

That's fine, I just just jumping on the bandwagon of calling your finances out. That seemed to be the norm on here, and it would just be wrong of me not to follow the bandwagon. Especially being that this is a Honda board.

On a more serious note I will agree that plug and play HID setups give better light output in a halogen housing. This of course deals directly with the kelvin rating of the bulbs. i.e. 4300k-5000k are going to be far superior in light output to 8-12k. In the end halogen headlight setups are always going to produce glare, unless they are retrofitted.

Case in point my old civic and then after that when I transferred them to my wife's g20. Sure it lit up the road, but I was still getting flashed on a daily basis. This was even after I aimed both cars head lights. I will have to agree with 5thgen on this one. If you are going to do the plug and play kits atleast looking into a blocking plate/ shield.

p.s. I fixed your grammar mistakes and added some commentary for you.

Correction. The civic si is orginally blakes.Get your facts straight before you jump to conclusion.True it will more then likely get repo'd this month or next if blake does not get with it.If she decides not to take the fall and keeps it, then she wants me to start paying the bills and driving it if i would like to.
