mine were in the gums as well. There was a nice hole that it made that food always got caught it. That was kinda nasty, but overall the whole surgery was not bad, and the recoop time is a week at most. Just make sure you dont get dry socket, i heard that it is quite painful

I was at first too, but it was cake. Just note to yourself, it the surgeon gives you a coupon for a free sundae at Culver's, don't use it right away. I tried eating mine right away and the damn thing dribbled down my face. It's funny now, but not so much at the time.

ya, that hole is annoying. and i was scared of getting dry socket. for those who dont know, i believe that is when a nerve is exposed in the healed area, so anytime something touches it you get extreme pain

ya, i tried drinking water to rinse the blood taste out, and the water just dribbled out and got my shirt all bloody

Get them removed. I had mine pulled and it took literly 60 seconds or less after I was numb. Only had to take pain killer for a day or 2

i too had mine cut out when i was 15. i got lucky w/ no swelling/bruising. it's well worth it, esp the drugs they give.

Every one is telling me to do it for the drugs. I dont take any med unless I absolutely need it. Once the pain is gone I get rid of what ever meds are given to me(if I dont finish them), and no I wont sell them to you. I feel people just use meds to cure anything and everything is doing more harm than good.

i would say get them cut out just to save time later on. you could end up not in very much pain at all and never needing to take them out. or they could cause a constant dull pain and you will have to get them pulled anyways.
