Thanks for bringing that upNat X;99745 wrote:When the Afflack guy came to the body shop I worked at he said that on track racing is not covered, but that was years ago. I was funny after he said that I ask about street racing (just joking around) and he said if you are not arrest for it, then it will be covered.
Some insurance companies exclude any type of driving on a "racing surface" ... this is stupid, because what about the "Street Survival Skills" program that teaches teenagers real driving, hard core car control and accident avoidance? We do that at Gateway raceway, so that is a racing surface = not covered, but we're doing stuff that will ultimately LOWER accident claims payout made by insurance companies
Others exclude "any timed event"
I know which insurance companies are which
A DE, HPDE, PDX etc is NOT timed, that's the key
HOWEVER, be sure to check the "exclusions" section of your policy first before going on track
That's in regards to releasing the track from liability, doesn't have anything to do with fixing any damage to your carNat X;99746 wrote:Me again....
Sorry when you go to the track they usually make you sign away your life and soul, anyways.
Yep, fortunately most of these will take place in May, but note you'll also be provided an umbrella stand and ample water, free lunch, etcPotts1;99787 wrote:a note...
