stick to single cams....LOL

And to the OP...i'd say gsr for daily, but you would really need to specify estimated trap, estimated e.t. and what your redline will be.

GSR trans with LS final drive is LS 1st and 2nd with GSR 3rd and 4th (since LS and GSR share the same 1st and 2nd gear ratios) If you can shift, go as close as you can on gears. If you need a little time to think, go with GSR/LS. Cases are typically breaking because people are pushing the ring and pinion apart on these trannies. Some people have done some welding in the clutch area to reinforce this and they have not had problems. Doing so would make the cuff not necessary.

You have to remember that this set up we are talking about is on a high boost motor, on a light car. You dont really want the quickest gears for this set up. That would be fine for say a stock honda motor turbo'd. But on this one you will want to be in the gear longer to lose no boost in between all the shifts. And you dont need to worry about having the longer gears b/c you will have the power to turn them. See what I'm saying?

Please elaborate more on this, I'm interested in hearing what you are saying.

it is a BIG turbo. losing boost will be easy. with the wot box u will not lose boost that much if dailed in right. donnie only loses a couple lbs with his i think.
i think your redline will have a effect on your choice of gear ratio has well.
you will have to shift faster at a 8k than you would 10k. 10k will make the gear longer if your racing. which you will be doing 90% of the time :)

We dont need a WOT box tony, you can do that with Hondata on the stock computer just chiped. But even with those boxes, that doesnt change the fact that you will want a slightly longer gear for high boost cars for less shifting.

You'll lose just as much with a shorter geared tranny compared to a longer geared tranny. A longer geared tranny will also cause the motor to be at less rpm on the upshift. This isn't a big deal if its still in your powerband.

All you need to figure this out is powerband / redline / est. trap (power)....then buy some tires that won't put you in 5th gear.

i know you can do that hondata. didn't know you or him or whomever had it. thought it was chrome you where using.
the longer gear in my car was pos compared to what i have now.

i would say if you go longer gear go with a 22" or 23" tire if you go taller gear go with a 24" or 24.5"
