You really need to file a police report, seriously. If you know who did it then there is a reason that he did it and not a random act. (not that those doent happen but then they are done to multiple random people and you have no clue who did it). Also police report is good for insurance if you go that route, plus they have a better chance of getting the kid (how old is he by the way) to admit to it than you do. I did file a police report. I didnt even talk to the guy. I absolutely know for sure it was him but the cop was a dick and said that unless I have proof or he admits to it theres nothing he can do. He did however go and talk to him.....he said he would come back and let me know what happens but just jumped in his car and drove off. I plan on going through insurance since theres roughly $1000 in damage.

all that would do is get me in trouble. I have no proof that he did it but I have the brick that was used. I will just let the insurance take car of it and move on.
