Oh yea, Im on the Genesis boards, and its amazing all the shit they are doing to these, and how easly they are putting down big numbers.

A quick thing I found while doing research:

The 1998cc four is the same basic engine as in the 291-hp Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, both engines being byproducts of the Global Engine Manufacturing Alliance, a joint venture among Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Chrysler.

Similarities outweigh the differences, we’re told, between the Evo’s motor and Hyundai’s all-aluminum Theta four with its twin-cam variable valve timing and Mitsubishi TD04H turbo making 15.0 psi. Core components such as pistons and rods should move freely between them, for example. Hyundai’s engine uses a different computer, from Siemens. The software wasn’t intentionally made easy to crack, “but it’s not very tough,” says one Hyundai exec with a wink. That means over 300 horsepower should be possible without major surgery.

I also read that with the Genesis' engine only having 9.3:1 compression, AMS has been thinking that running 29psi should be no problem with some fine tuning.

This could be a lot of fun in the next few months watching where this could potentially go.

Kolk, love the car! Hyundia have gotten their shit together, I have always loved those cars, nice buy! Cant wait to see what becomes of it!

HID kit ordered, I have stock projectors so I just ordered a 4500 Slim DDM kit. Tint appt made for later next week, now all I need to finish my ASAP list, is a reflash, but im going to hold off until my stereo shit sells.

Ok, well that just went a lot faster than planned. A used reflash just popped up on the Genesis forum, I made an offer and he said yes. Hes going full custom, so he cant use the reflash anymore. Basically picked it up half price with shipping.

Well I got the programmer fully installed and have a appointment on Friday at Lowe Performance for dyno tuning. Other than that, it's got tint now.

35% front, 20% rear.

i actually like it, kinda looks like a degayed tiburon. Now shave them damned hyundai emblems and it rocks!
