NSX to return on a modified Accord platform?
Why didn't you include the rear image as well? The back looks better than the front. If they make it a 400 hp hybrid, it will fail. People expect more power and cylinders for this kind of money. Sochiro Honda always said: Without racing, there is no Honda. I don't think that modern day Honda honors that notion.

NO more NSX's.

When at the Honda plant where the NSX was made and while standing inside the NSX refresh building Peter Mills wondered out loud to me if there was a model of the HSC we could see.
I decided to asked Urehara if there was a HSC/NSX prototype around or any other of the shelved NSX concepts that we could see.
His reply was a shake of the head and decisively said "No".
Then, he crossed his hands in front of him and quickly chopping them to the side, he emphatically said " no more sports cars."
Very direct answer.

I understand Honda for going with the hydrogen-electric hybrids as they don't require fossil fuels and, once we have a way to easily obtain hydrogen, are truly "green".luvmyhondas;250309 wrote:thank the government.
It's a relatively simple design, only water comes out, and all the polar bears can kill other wildlife without fear of loosing their favorite icebergs (if you believe they are truly threatened at all).
But gas-electric hybrids just don't make long-term sense in the real world. I feel sorry for anyone trying to sell theirs in 10 to 20 years.
I'd like to see this "future" that Honda see's. We have very efficient diesels and gas engines now. It's not the late 90's anymore.
Interesting. Hadn't seen that.Eric C;250753 wrote:NO more NSX's.
I would say that holds some weight, but who knows with Honda anymore...
They have been making some odd business decisions in the last several years.

NSX to return on a modified Accord platform?
Bumping an old thread for an update. Honda's president confirmed they will be renewing development of the NSX replacement. It was put on hold after the 2008 economic downturn.

NSX to return on a modified Accord platform?
id like to see a new nsx but they have been talking about it for a long time. the first prototype they were talking about had a small displacement v8 like a 3.5. as for a hybrid i was very skeptical at first but if you look through bisi's research he did through the crz the hybrid is a amazing platform with the ima motor you have peak tq at 1 rpm! last i heard bisi was looking into a way to increase the output from the ima system. with a turbo charged setup the ima also almost eliminates turbo lag.
turbo lag psh? boost is only a down shift away

I'll believe it when I see the actual production car make it out.....and I don't even live in the show-me state.
