i didn't know we had a politcs section....lol

sounds like the suburbs are going to shit since the urban can only take so much abuse before it explodes. The country will be next. and after reading the lyrics "let's have a war" over and over and over and over and over and over and over it reminds me of three days grace's song "lets start a riot." it's quite annoying.

From Autumn to Ashes' cover of that song is better. FEAR is some good old fashioned punk rock. Those lyrics are pretty standard fare in terms punk rock.

i enjoy this topic. when bush was in office, tons of anti-Bush songs became very popular. although i dont know the entire plot behind Green Days "american idiot" i believe they are preaching their anti-Bush message (if im wrong, please state why). All in all, when all a band/group/artist has to write about is politics (unless that is what they have done from the beginning) they are washed up and need to rethink exactly why they are making music. I use Green Day as an example because they are perfect for this. Listen to the lyrics before American Idiot, they talk of jerking off and other random nonsense, then comes a movement of anti-Bush (not just govt. as most punk music is) and they hop on and blow up because of "idiot america". fast forward to today, if a country music artist were to write a song of Obama's already failed policies, they would more than likely never get air time and be labeled racist. this is my .02, not based on facts, just shit i come up with in my head.

i agree with bill totally america is biased whether it likes to admit it or not

turning point to the war in iraq say obama had been in bush's position at the time what would the american view be on it? i think it would be quite different.
