Once that's done, it takes 15-45 days for your permit to come in. I'd recommend NOT getting a new license with the endorsement on it, as it makes people jumpy when looking at it. Get the card that states it on it, but leave it off your license. The point of CCW though is that no one else knows you have it.
Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that the permit would take that long to process. Then again, the government on any level likes to take their time.

In regard to the license, I totally understand your point. However, people that get to look at my license aren't who I am concerned about. It's the people on the street who I don't have business with that are my main concern.

My sister-in-law was actually held up at gunpoint on Grand, about 3 weeks back. It was a busy Friday night before 10pm. Makes you think twice.

No problem, and I understand about the license thing. But think of it this way, if they see that on your license, the majority of those people are still gonna feel compelled to call the cops or make someone higher up aware that you "might" have the gun on you at that point in time. Would it really be worth being hassled every time you have to show your license to a clerk? Just some other food for thought :drinkup1:

No, if you're 23 go ahead and get the Missouri license because it's accepted in more states than Florida and has less restrictions than the Florida one since you're not a FL resident.

I took the class on Saturday. It was amazing.

I expected just the basics that everyone already knows, but it went way beyond that. The instructor taught real world skills that I could go home and practice, as well as giving great tips. I highly recommend it.

It's a 45 minute drive down Gravois, through Jefferson County, into Franklin County. It is worth the drive. I had heard that he was the best in STL and believe that to be an accurate statement. The best thing that I can do to thank Greg the instructor is to recommend that anyone else interested in CCW take the time to go out to Lonedell.
