I dont care that much. Im doing this at cost, because I have a job lined up for doing powder coating when I move. So im trying to get more practice. Thus, doing it for free. But Im not going to pay for your powder, to do your parts.

Ill post one pic. I did these for Kevin at Lowe Peformance yesterday.

Nice work, thumbs up to you on learning how to powercoat! I think its cool personally that your offering to do this for practice bascially, not as a business. I think its being misunderstood and personally I dont see an issue as long as your not advertising a service as a company or vendor.

My 2 cents.

Trust me, with these quotes im giving people of $20-$40, im just trying to not Lose money on the stuff im doing.

If I had a buisness, I could order stuff in bulk, but for instance, other than 4 rims, this is the most expensive quote ive given. Mike(different board) wants his valve cover done in a Candy lime green, Powder was $10 for 1/2 lb, plus $7 shipping, Chrome was $10 for 1/2 lb(instock), right there is $27, plus the gas to heat/reheat the oven 3 times, and the product to strip all the old crap off his valve cover. Id be lucky to make 2-3$ off this deal. Sounds like im getting ripped off.

When I move to Memphis, I plan on buying alot of stuff in bulk, so it cuts down on shipping, and the more you buy of one color, the cheaper it is. But for now, I cant do that, so I can either, do the part for almost free, and practice, OR charge a shit ton, and try to make a $20-$40 profit for some parts.

Very cool that you have learned to do this. I have a set of wheels I want to get PC'ed, but unfortunately they are mounted with tires at this point. You will be moving in a month you say?

I'll post more when I get home.

I won't be totally moved till the end of June, but with making trips to Memphis, and packing, and getting married in June, may will be the last month I can quickly knock stuff out with no interuptions.

I have a couple friends that are wanting their valve covers done in some colors I havent sprayed yet, so hopfully Ill get more pics of the other colors I have on hand. The candy purple, and candy raspberry is amazing looking. I might go ahead and spray something I have laying around, that way I can show off the colors, since I doubt anybody would ask for it without seeing it first.

Examples of the 2:

At then end of day 1 I was doing pretty damn good. Its mainly just getting everything dialed in. I still havent tried creative shit, like Black rims with a Red lip, or different colored lettering. Ive talked to Tim at HP how to do it, but I havent tried it yet.

When I get ahold of a Valve cover to practice on. I plan on doing different colored letters to practice that.
