Damn man, youve been threw a lot of pain that only a few people in this world can explain.. your lucky your alive and I would hope you live every day like its your last..g3integragsr;50859 wrote:Sorry I got tired of typing, So anyways to continue....once I got to the hospital I went through 6 hours of testing, mri's,cat scans,x-ray's and what not. They new that the problem was in my neck but couldn't for some strange reason fiqure out where, so the next morning they transported me to children's hospital in Saint Louis. There they fiqured out what was wrong. Turns out this has only happened to two other people in the world before, a 20 year old who got in a car accident and didn't survive, and the one and only (god what a freaking coincedence that im posting this in this thread.)
amazing Superman...Christopher Reeve. Thats right, he broke his next the exact same way I did, execpt he fell off of a horse, and mine happenend on a roller coaster. The only reason that to this day I am walking and he was not....when his spinal cord got pinched by his first vertebrea it was a difference of 2/100ths of an inch further than mine....doing such damage to his that he was permentaley paralyzed. Thats how close I came to being in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. There was only one doctor in the world who has done that surgery, he was a specialist from New Zealand. He worked on Mr. Reeve's and the poor kid that died die to other complications. He was flown into St.Louis to do the surgery on my neck. After a month in the Hospital and another month retraing my severly weakend leg muscles to keep me stable, I was able to walk again. I was in a neck brace for 2 and a half years. I have two screws in my neck, drilled through #2 vertebrea and #1 vertebrea to keep them from moving and pinching my spinal cord again.
Shit that makes my freak accident look like nothing compared to your!... Glad to see that your walk and no t stuck in wheel chair!...trust me I've was in one for about a year... they sux!!
