idk how the quality is but i can a set of ksport coilovers for about 600 shipped that i was thinking about putting on my car. if you want a set you can get them on clubcivic from one of the sponsors(not trying to sell anything just letting everyone know about the price). any of you guys ever have them/heard anything on them?

yeah, after looking around, i found the koni/gc setup to be a little pricey for what i need. it does seem to be the way to go though. any other decent setups for someone on a tighter budget?

Omni/Function Form/KSport/D2
All pretty much the same and really good for the price. And there in your range.

except for omni, all are Korean nock offs, that do not have good reputations. I would stick to Skunk2 for cheap (about $550 on ebay) coilovers, or just pony up for some thing pricey.Pork Pie;103986 wrote:Omni/Function Form/KSport/D2

koni yellow and skunk2 coilovers work is a decent setup too. I have that and suspension techniques swaybars on my hatch right now, and as several people can attest, when I rock it back and forth the only movement my car has side-to-side is from sidewall flex.
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

koni yellows can get expensive, but they are absolutely worth the money. You could go with Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGX. You'll save some money and still get some decent quality dampers. Also, you don't need coilovers. H&R Sport springs ($150) with quality dampers ($375) and big-ass rear sway bar ($175) will make your car handle and ride awesome. It won't be dumped to the ground, but you will totally notice the handling and your lady won't bitch about the ride.

Idk about you guys but suspension is one area I don't want to cheap out on.. I'd rather have the best and for my car to handel & ride great!
I owned a set of H&R Sports and I got tired of the bounciness of them.. idk their spring rate but it suxs! H&R wont disclose what they are. But Tanable NF210 springs have the same kind of drop as H&R Sport a 1.5F and 1.2R drop but handle a hell of a lot better!
Just something to think about

It's been my experience (and research findings) that bounciness has more to do with your struts than anything else. If the spring rates are too high for your struts, you get the bouncy-bounce, because the struts get overpowered by the stiff springs and ultimately blow out.
When I rode H&R springs on my old hatch(I had both Race and OE Sport), I had them mated to Koni Yellows. I liked them a little better than the Ground Control - Illumina setup I have now. No complaints about either setup, really. I think you can put most any spring with a Koni and you will be able to dial in a nice ride. Illuminas and AGX's aren't quite as good as Koni, but they should be able to handle most any springs you would want for a daily that also sees some track time.
