This will not be my DD, and I don't like to boost on stock motors. The motor is already tore down about 80% and is on my engine stand. I will be doing the following:
Bisi 8.2:1CR forged pistons
Bisi Steel I Beam Rods
ARP head studs
Bisi 1.2 stage turbo vtec cam
Bisi Pro Valve Springs
Bisi Cam Gear
I'm going to use OEM everything else pretty much. But do some head work, block work. Open it up a little bit, this motor is gonna be a project. I doubt it will be in the car any time soon. Maybe next year before IA. And it will all get tuned on CROME. That is a good $2000+ motor build before turbo.

F22 Aftermarket?
Good deal sounds like a solid plan, Bisimoto's prices on his steel rods and Bisi spec pistons are not too bad at all. I run one of his cams in my car now and his cam gear, both are great products.
I see he only lists 86mm bore pistons... you might call or email him to see if he has any other bore sizes available, cause if you have to overbore you want to keep it minimal if your stick with stock sleeves. Like only going to 85.5mm bore instead of 86mm bore. Keep as much sleeve thickness as possible.
You might even check with a machine shop and see if its possible they just check the bored for roundness and all that, then if it looks good if they can put a hone on it and you can run a 85mm piston still. Since forged piston boosted motor your generally run looser clearances anyways and I am not sure how much you open up the bores just honing.

I was wondering about that myself. I'm not in the buying stage just yet, still in the research stage. But I was looking around for 85-85.5mm, and I have heard nothing but good things with Bisi. I'll pay the extra for what has been proven.twkdcd595;239672 wrote:Good deal sounds like a solid plan, Bisimoto's prices on his steel rods and Bisi spec pistons are not too bad at all.
