im suprised they built it around a 4 door, they probably could have saved a few hundred pounds if they shortened it up for a 2 door

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

actually the u.s. 4 door si and the u.s. si coupe are suprisingly close in lenght and weight. a friend of mine said the same thing when he bought his but we compared the specs and were suprised to see the 4 door is only about 50lbs heavier and only a couple inches longer. wierd. i'm not sure if the jdm versions are different but here you wouldn't gain that much by going w/ a coupe over a 4 door.Potts1;158781 wrote:im suprised they built it around a 4 door, they probably could have saved a few hundred pounds if they shortened it up for a 2 door

Yep. The difference is only 50 pounds and two inches, but it's amazing how much more room there is in the back seats of the sedans compared to the coupes. I really really like the concept, but dual exhaust FTL.DC_T;159135 wrote:actually the u.s. 4 door si and the u.s. si coupe are suprisingly close in lenght and weight. a friend of mine said the same thing when he bought his but we compared the specs and were suprised to see the 4 door is only about 50lbs heavier and only a couple inches longer. wierd. i'm not sure if the jdm versions are different but here you wouldn't gain that much by going w/ a coupe over a 4 door.

To my knowledge, they don't even market the two door coupe Civics in Japan anymore. The public over there doesn't have a use for them. And to my knowledge, all two door coupes have been made in the U.S. If you think about it, the four door platform is better for road racing anyway due to the extra strength and reinforcement that are done the the B-Pillar for safety regulations. Sedans>Coupes. And that is coming from a coupe owner.
