that actually turned out to be bs. christian bale said he had no probs with the character. his emotional problems were personal.

RIP Heath

He played a great roll. Creepy, sadistic, crazy, funny, and mentally disturbing. His constant lip licking was consistant.

He was so into his roll, that even off set until the shoot was over, he stayed in character. Many have said that Heath Ledger was a brilliant young actor and was very committed to everything he did.

Also considering that from what I had read earlier today that "The Dark Knight" has already brought in a record breaking $155.23 million at the box-office in it's opening weekend... It beat Spiderman 3 no problem.

it was definitely freakin amazing. all i hoped it would be and more. altho i did get a little teary-eyed when i first saw him and i liked the dedication at the end. paramount already said they will never cast another joker. no one can one up Heath. he broke them all. and on another note...what girl doesn't love christian bale without a shirt? yowza.

I sort of agree... I didn't really like how they did the 'evil' part of the costuming, with his face so far gone, it would have been impossible to pretend that he could sustain himself for any longer period of time. As soon as they showed his face, I prayed they would kill him fast or else it would have ruined it/ any subsequent sequels for me.

the real issue now is... what do they do with the Joker charactor in the future? Obviously they haul him away to Arkham for now, but the joker returns... he can't not show up again later.

See, if his name was Edward Nigma in the movie... I would have caught that. Since it wasn't... I didn't notice.

If that does end up being the case, that Mr. Reese is the Riddler, I think this was sort of the point. had he come in and been "Mr. Nygma" everyone would have seen it coming a mile away and it would have overshadowed the rest of the scenes he was in.

Sidenote: I am not sure the actor(or really even the charactor) is strong enough to play such a large villian.

There was a lil' sarcasm behind that big guy... I did pick up on it though and he seems "nerdy" enough to cover the roll.

Funny how Bruce saves him, just for Reese to turn around to want to kill him. lol

so... Harvey Dent is laying on the hospital bed in bandages, and I hear a voice from further back in the theater whisper "he's two-face" in a 'omg, he's two-face!' voice...I mean fucking seriously.
