So quick question, what would be the best way to fix the rusty quarter? Am I looking at possibly having to weld in a whole new quarter panel? yuck.

Anyone? Heading to the body shop for a quote tomorrow. Me and a buddy are going to fill in all of the small dings and primer it ourselves (he has a spraygun and all the materials needed, he's done a couple cars) but I'm going to get a quote on a new quarter welded in and a coat of paint/clear.

Thanks.

Got a quote on a new quarter welded in and a new paintjob from a local body shop.. $1000.
I have to fix all the rock chips/ding/surface rust on my own between me and a buddy, which is no biggie. I just dont want to bondo up the huge fucking hole in my quarter panel.

Nice...

I started pulling all of the interior panels out, going to vinyl dye all of the plastics with SEM landau black, hopefully it looks sortof like this, without the type-r setup he has going on... black alcantara or suede in the doors and headliner.

SEM interior paint is shit. I prepped all panels like crazy. Used the gray scotch pads like all of the "guides" say, wiped all panels down with alcohol, and the paint still didn't stick. So I've got my mind set on a full interior swap. Type F to Type K.

Is this a common problem on EK door panels? I have 4 panels and 2 of them are broken in this spot. Plastic seems VERY brittle in this area.

The hatch area was leaking, had a pool of water around my spare so I did everything I could think of. Used silicone around the tail lights and around the air vents behind the bumper. I hope that fixed it. The rear hatch seal has a few spots that are torn less than 1". Hoping it's not the seal but that's next to be replaced.
